The Ekans that had hit the tree hissed in alarm as he saw Duncan bounding towards him with his head down. He flailed his long body, trying to slither away, but Duncan’s Tackle hit him hard in the neck and he fell down again, an awful hissing-snarling noise coming him from his throat. This time the little Poochyena wouldn’t get away. He opened his mouth wide and seemed to make a strange coughing noise. Suddenly a small dart launched itself from the bottom of his tongue, barbed and shining with a purple liquid. It was a Poison Sting, and a potentially dangerous move as there was a chance either Duncan or Bulbasaur could be poisoned. The attack was aimed for Duncan, though – would he dodge?


As for the female Ekans, she was not perturbed by the fact that her ‘friend’ had been Tackled. After all, two of her allies already lay fainted in the grass. She too hissed angrily, raised her head, and spat out a Poison Sting at Bulbasaur. The young plant-dinosaur yelped in fear of the super-effective attack, trying to scramble out of the way to dodge. Her panic didn’t help her situation, and the sting caught her in the bulb. Bulbasaur cried out in pain – the attack did a decent amount of damage. At least she hadn’t been Poisoned. Whimpering, she wondered if she should run away. Hearing Taro’s yell of encouragement, though, she turned around and Growled again at the female Ekans, although her growl was quieter this time. Then she leapt at the female again, accurately Tackling her to the ground before quickly scampering away lest the snake Pokemon spit another Poison Sting at her.
