{shipwrecked in a sea of faces,
there's a dreamy world up there}
GENERAL
Name: Luna Astraea Carlyle (loon-ah ast-ray-ah car-lie-el)
Age: 19
Birthday: 15th July
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Sexuality: Straight
Career: Trainer, possibly with some research on the side
APPEARANCE
Luna is not ugly, but neither is she exceptionally beautiful. Her face is round, her curved jaw ending in a relatively small chin. The roundness of her face makes her cheekbones well hidden, not prominent at all. Her nose curves smoothly out of her face, fairly narrow but not excessively so. The lips above her small round chin are usually curved upwards in a smile, rarely are coated in lipstick and tend to grow chapped and cracked in cold winter weather, making her carry around some form of cream or balm during cold weather, although her lips are usually too determined to become chapped for this to make much of a difference. Her eyebrows are thin, the same brown as her hair, and have a slight curve in them. The eyes underneath are large, almond shaped, and a striking shade of green. A bright shade of mid green, right at the outer edge of her irises they fade suddenly to almost grey. Luna does not like the roundness of her face, but at least her complexion is clear. She used to wear small amounts of make-up, but since becoming a trainer there's no time for that and she fails to see the point when she's out in the wilderness. Her hair is a shining hazelnut brown colour, straight and reaching just past her shoulders.
Luna stands at a height of 5'6", taller than some other people of the same age but not too much so. At a first look, she appears physically weak. Scrawny, her long limbs are clumsy and awkward when they move. There is not much muscle on her. While she is not as frail as she first appears, she isn't going to win any prizes in any kind of athletic event. Her endurance, at least, is good. She can take a battering and could keep up exercising for a long period of time, not that she would bother putting herself through that. She does not enjoy exercise and is too uncoordinated in her movements to find any fun or talent in sport, walking being the exception since at least there's something to look at most of the time. She can run fast if she tries. Her general build is fairly chunky, with shoulders leaning towards the broad side. The skin covering all of this naturally is a tan tone, and rarely gets any darker no matter how long she stays out in the sun.
Around her neck, Luna wears a locket on a gold chain. The gold of the chain and locket is not very pure, and is dulled with age. It is probably the most valuable thing she owns, being very old and richly decorated, not to mention bearing large sentimental value to her; her rather strange grandfather gave it to her when Lazarus settled, and heavens knows why the old man just happened to have an centuries-old locket just lying around. More curious is how it seems to fit Lazarus' form; set towards the top of the oval-shaped locket is a smooth round ruby remarkably like the jewel on his forehead, either supposed to represent the sun or some orb of energy. It is between the etchings of two large wings belonging to a figure dominating the locket. Whether this is an angel or a bird of some sort, Luna has never been able to tell. Surrounding this are engraved some swirling patterns akin to those around the jewel on Lazarus' forehead, again providing a strange link to her and her dæmon. Her twin brother wears its counterpart, silver with some canine beast clutching at a crescent moon made from a smooth yellow gemstone the same colour and shape of the crescent moon on the forehead of his Umbreon-dæmon. Luna finds it curious how these two twin lockets exist and why they match her and her twin so well, and like her brother is hardly ever seen without it around her neck.
Luna likes to wear light, summery colours like reds, oranges and white, and will also be seen wearing a lot of purple as it has been her favourite colour since Lazarus settled. It is much to his dismay when she decides it would be nice to wear a dress, shirt or skirt that matches his fur. She is not fussy when it comes to clothing, feeling comfortable in anything so long as it isn't too revealing. Floral dresses and skirts as well as baggy T-Shirts with a simple pattern (stripes are a favourite) are what she commonly wears. In cold weather, she tends to wear jeans, jumpers and coats, in hot weather baggy T-shirts and skirts or dresses, and anything in between sees just about anything she feels like, mostly simple jeans and a top. She doesn't take much time in choosing outfits, picking what she is most comfortable in or what colours she likes that day, hence purple is seen a lot in her clothing. Her shoes are usually cheap and thin trainer-like shoes, sometimes sandals in summer. She likes hats, and in cold weather will wear woolly bobble hats and sometimes hats that look like Pokémon. She wears earrings too, mostly just simply ones. Her favourite pair are two round red jewels like the one on Lazarus' forehead, although he dislikes these as he doesn't like her clothing or accessories matching him.
PERSONALITY
Luna is a happy and friendly person, but also very childish. Her sense of humour makes her able to laugh at herself, much to Lazarus' distaste. She can be very foolish, sometimes because that's who she is, other times because she's acting up to try and make someone laugh. Her childish nature makes her easily amused, immature and impatient. Playing games is something she often does to try and entertain herself, making them up as she goes along. These change frequently as she grows bored of something and decides she wants to try something new. She has a vivid imagination, never having quite managed to let go of the daydreams of mythical creatures and magic she had as a child, loving to make up stories about faraway made-up places and people. She sometimes invents stories for things, too, picking up on a feature of something and twisting it into some supernatural past. Like a child, she still sees magic everywhere, even if she knows there's no such thing. That doesn't stop her liking to think of the world in that way, where some old twisted and gnarled tree actually used to be a wizard, and that dusty old pot you've had lying around since you bought it that one time on holiday actually used to belong to a king and held all sorts of magical potions.
Trusting people too easily for her own good, Luna is very friendly and non-judgmental. She gives people the benefit of the doubt and is quick to like people, being easy-going. It takes a good deal to upset or anger her, but unless whoever does so is already a friend of hers, she has a tendency to bear grudges. While she generally can laugh about herself, depending on who it is and what they say, she can take insults meant even jokingly to heart, causing her to dislike whoever voiced them. When meeting new people, she will try and reserve judgement for when she as had time to get to know them better, and greets everyone with a warm smile unless she is confident in advance that they are not nice people. She enjoys the company of other people, getting lonely if she is by herself for very long. An extrovert, she is happiest around other people, and enjoys having many friends as well as a select circle of her closest friends.
Ever the optimist, she is of the 'don't worry, it'll sort itself out' mentality. If something goes wrong, she tends not to worry too much about it, figuring that everything will work out in the end and there will be some other way to go about life. This can be infuriating for anyone trying to get her to fix a situation herself, and she will insist that there's no need and she will be content with whatever happens. After all, what happens can't be changed, it just has to be lived with. She can accept much of what life throws at her, keeping a her feet on the ground and a smile on her face. She has few real ambitions, preferring just to take life as it happens and go wherever she feels like, sculpting her path to suit her. She does not think too hard about her actions before she takes them, which do sometimes lead to problems in the future. This is due to laziness and a lack of thinking much about the future. That said, she doesn't have many regrets. She doesn't dwell much on the past. There are always choices that turn out wrong, and she dislikes both admitting she made a mistake and thinking about what might have been. Lazarus is helpful in reminding her to think of the consequences of her actions, having a better vision for the future depending on her course of action, and so helps her steer on the right track for a good future for her.
At first, she does seem foolish and unintelligent. There is no doubt she is childish and foolish, but that doesn't mean she isn't clever. Her brain gets less use than it could purely due to laziness, but is in fact quite sharp. Underneath the messing around and carefree nature, Luna sees more of the Espeon that her dæmon has settled as. There is a part of her that knows what is sensible, a part that is smart, above average. Creativity stops at her imagination, any attempts at art or writing ending in crude drawings or poorly written narratives with a weak but imaginative plot. Her abilities in acting, music and dance are non-existent. She does, however, have a sharp scientific mind, calculating and logical with a good memory for facts and figures. This lacks use. The most probably cause of this is trying to hide her intelligence to fit in better with other people by appearing to be their equal in all areas, since a good portion of her friends were of average intelligence. She finds she does a lot better in tests than those people, and so in fear of making them feel uncomfortable, switches off her brain somewhat around other people.
HISTORY
Luna was born into the Carlyle family, a normal middle-class family of four, a few minutes after her twin brother Aestus. Unusual names, true, but Luna's parents liked unusual names. The couple, Myles and Joyce, had no other children, deciding that two of them was quite enough. Their first home was in Pewter City in Kanto. Their mother had an office job at a company which sold computer equipment, and their father worked part-time from home, so was able to raise them. He tried to earn money making figures from scrap metal, but this fell flat on its face and more or less turned into selling the odd figure while making several for his children when they were old enough to not try and eat them. They had a few relatives nearby who saw them often. One pair of grandparents lived within Pewter City itself, but her dad's mother, her grandma died before she was born and her dad's father, her granddad, lived in Vermilion City so did not see the twins often. Luna grew up a normal, happy, healthy kid, attending preschool where she got along well with the other kids. The transition to school was smooth, Luna having no problem being away from her parents for longer.
At the age of seven, Luna moved with her family to Saffron City so that her mother could take up an offer for a better paid, more interesting job. This suited them a lot better, as the city was larger and more active, with plenty of different activities for them to pick from. They bought a reasonably sized house with a large garden in the suburbs. Luna was upset to leave her friends behind, but she quickly made new ones and she was unlikely to have kept in touch with her old ones in a few years' time anyway. She and her twin, Aestus, were close. Arguments and sibling rivalry were still frequent visitors despite this. The two were the same age and so were in the same class at the same school, and lived in the same house, so rarely had any breaks from each other. Spending so much time with one person really makes you notice any annoying habits, and arguments were inevitable between the two.
Throughout her life, Luna had a keen interest in Pokémon. She regularly and persistently begged her parents to allow them a pet. It could be something small, she had heard Meowth and Skitty were very independent and low-maintenance, she would do all the work herself, it wouldn't smell, it would teach her to be responsible, studies showed pets were calming and helped learning... the list went on. She even went as far as to volunteer to look after the school Minccino for the weekend at age eight without asking her parents in an attempt to prove her point. True to her word, she did take care of it herself, but it was a keen explorer and she managed to lose the poor thing several times, crying every time and worrying it would end up chewing a wire and killing itself. Thankfully the ordeal ended with the Minccino returning to school in one piece, having had a very nice and entertaining weekend watching the girl chase it around the house. After that, she was more accepting of her parents' refusals, although she still secretly wanted a pet. They eventually cleaned up the pond in their garden and put a few small silver fish there.
There was never anything in particular Luna wanted to do when she grew up. She got good grades in school, but there was no career in particular that she really wanted to pursue. Instead she toyed with many different ideas. One day she might want to be a firefighter, then next a doctor. She considered being a trainer a few times, but her parents tried to steer her clear of following that path since it was hard to make a living as a trainer unless you were very skilled, which Luna had showed no sign of being. She began to understand their point that life on the road, moving from place to place and helping people seemed nice in theory but was harder in practice. Being a coordinator had some appeal, while she ruled out breeding as she didn't want to have to deal with loads of baby Pokémon. She was very unsure of what she wanted to be for a long time.
"Hey, kitty. It's OK. You can say hello," the ten-year-old girl spoke softly to the Meowth that had taken shelter underneath a car on her way home from school. She was on her knees at the edge of the pavement, leaning over to peer underneath the car. Lazarus took the tiniest form he could manage, a Joltik, to look less threatening, and tried to crawl under to get closer to the wild Pokémon. His reward was a loud hiss as the cat lunged to scratch him. The attack did not strike him, as he emerged quick as a flash to cling to Luna.
"It doesn't want to be disturbed. Let's just go, Aestus is already way ahead of us. We can't get lost," he said nervously.
She shook her head. "We know the way home. Besides, it looked injured and didn't have a collar. It's probably wild. No-one else will help it," she insisted. With that, she reached out with her hand underneath the car. This was a mistake. Not a second later did she jump backwards, crying out in pain and nursing fresh scratches along her hand. Perhaps Lazarus had been right. It didn't want to be disturbed. But she had to help it! Lack of experience in handling Pokémon left her unsure of what to do right now, hence the mistake of trying to reach out to the Meowth.
Lazarus sighed. "See? Now let's go before you hurt yourself again," he sounded somewhat smug. Luna frowned and shook her head. She pulled him off her arm before folding them. He glared at her for a moment before giving in, shifting form into an elegant Burfox. "Fine. I'll scare it out, you grab it if it runs off," he told her his idea. With a sigh, he reluctantly accepted her eager nod and crouched low, spreading his wings in threat and growling softly. He could see the Meowth underneath the car watching him with wide, patient eyes. It took a few steps back away from him. While its eyes were fixed on the snarling Burfox that had appeared to suddenly, Luna slipped off around the other side of the car, taking care to keep an eye on the road she was now crouched on. Lazarus took another step forward and let out a sharp yowling bark. His fur bristled as he lunged for the bottom of the car. He was too large to fit underneath in this form, but his paws snuck under towards the Meowth.
That was too much for the cat. It bolted... right into Luna's awaiting arms. The ten-year-old held tightly to the hissing ball of fur, claws and teeth, scratches and bites appearing up her arms. She gritted her teeth and ran home, Lazarus stretching his wings and flying along beside her. Once home, she called out a greeting to her father and brother (her mother was still at work) before hurrying up to her room and locking the door. Her parents did not allow pets, so she would keep this Meowth safe until it recovered.
The cat was not happy. It jumped free of her grasp and sat on her bed, glaring at her. To her dismay, it was not actually injured as she had first thought. Dreams of nursing it back to health, bonding with it and keeping it as a lifelong companion, training it to evolve into a Persian, all faded. What sat on her bed was not a loveable new pet, but rather a thin, hungry, almost full-grown and very pissed off Meowth. Lazarus folded his wings beside her, seeing her realisation. "Now do you believe me this was a bad idea?" he scolded her, none too pleased with the cat's presence.
"Just give him a chance. I have a good idea. Keep an eye on him, I'll be right back," she said, leaving her startled dæmon and closing the door before he could complain. She raced down the stairs, dove into the kitchen and opened the fridge. She almost took an unopened packet of diced chicken, but that would be missed and anyway, she didn't have time to cook anything. Grabbing a halfeaten can of tuna, she shut the fridge again and raced upstairs to her room.
Lazarus was still a Burfox, elegant muzzle pointed away from the Meowth, who was happily shredding her sheets. "I told you to keep an eye on him!" her dæmon looked at her helplessly and gracefully neared the Meowth to prove a point. The cat stopped his ripping and turned on him in an instant, spitting. Lazarus stepped back before he could claw at him. Luna edged closer to the angered cat, who watched her intently, flicking his tail irritably. When she showed him the tin of tuna, he grew still, sniffing the air and watching the fish suspiciously. The food gave her the cat's permission to get close enough to him for him to warily taste it. She held her breath as he ate the smallest morsel, decided it was good, then devoured the entire tin hungrily. As he ate, Luna reached out slowly with her other hand and tried to stroke him. The instant her hand made contact with his fur, he hissed, but with some soft words and more bribery by food, he warmed up to her a little.
This Meowth became Luna's secret pet. She and Lazarus would talk with him for great lengths of time, teaching him about how they lived. He grew into a fully-grown, strong Meowth, content with roaming free around the area and climbing into Luna's room for food, warmth and shelter. He was never completely friendly, hardly a cuddly Pokémon at all and still unafraid to dish out a scratch or two, but he was grateful to them for offering them a warm place on a soft bed if it rained, and extra food if he could not find his own. This arrangement looked set to last a long time, but one day, Meowth just stopped visiting Luna without warning.
When she joined high school, Luna felt more pressure to try and find some direction in life. There was a Pokémorph in their year, a Prinplup-morph named Iris. The two became fast friends, Iris being too afraid of bullying to talk to people and Luna wanting to try and befriend as many people as possible again to avoid bullies. She succeeded in not being marked as a loner, forming a large group of friends but being closest to Iris. Aestus sometimes joined them, but not always - it was nice to not have to spend so much time together for once as the school was large enough for the two to be in different classes for most subjects.
Luna and Aestus' dæmons both settled at the same time. It was during the school holidays, a couple of days into January and shortly before school would start again. They were sixteen years old. They were actually apart from each other, but their dæmons still settled at the same time despite the two being in a different place and situation.
A trainer walked down the street. Luna paid them no attention. She had no interest in Pokémon. Her parents discouragement had main her disinterested in working with them, and the two experiences with them as pets had put her off them. Meowth had never even said goodbye to her, so clearly the creatures could not be trusted to be loyal. Lazarus soared overhead as a Pidgeot, one of his and Luna's favourite forms. He loved flying, and she loved watching him fly. He would dive down towards the ground from the few feet into the air their bond would allow, and changed into a Tailow so that this distance would be greater relative to his size. Luna grinned at his joy at flying. The trainer, who looked in her early twenties, smiled, her own dæmon taking the form of a Kirlia. "I remember when my dæmon could fly like that. It was good fun," she observed.
Luna turned, uneasy about talking to a stranger but not too bothered by it. "It is! Lazarus is going to settle as a Flying type. But I don't want him to settle at all," she replied firmly, aware that there was precious little time left before his form would be fixed forever. They had months at most, being over the age when most people's dæmons settled. Most the people in her class already had settled dæmons, and no-one to her knowledge people in the year above had dæmons that could still change forms. Lazarus fluttered about her head happily.
The trainer laughed. "I thought that, too. But you know what, it's not a bad thing. You know a bit more about who you are. Your dæmon settling means that you're ready to pick a direction in life and work at it," Luna nodded, not really listening. She had heard that all so many times now, since it was what everyone said to her when they saw Lazarus had not settled yet. She had no direction in life, though, and didn't want to work at one thing. Lazarus didn't want to be one form forever, either. "Now, er, I need your help. That's why I spoke to you. You live around here, don't you?" she nodded a yes, "can you keep an eye out for a Persian? Mine's run off. Completely out of the blue, as well," she asked.
Luna shrugged. "Sure, but you won't find it. This Meowth used to visit me when I was about ten, and it would say hi almost every night for about a year, then he just randomly disappeared one day without a word. Pokémon are like that," she explained, running off before anything else could be asked of her.
Living in the suburbs, the countryside wasn't much of a walk for Luna, Lazarus bathing his wings - Taillow, Pidgey, Braviary, all sorts - in the cold crisp sunshine. Frost crunched underfoot as she walked into the small wood. Her breath rose as mist before her. Shivering, he became an Arcanine. She hugged him as if he were a hot water bottle. From up behind them suddenly came the sound of bounding footsteps of some large animal racing up behind them.
Mist swirled out without being replenished as Luna sucked in her breath. Lazarus pulled free of her arms and became a large Dragonite, roaring at the threat before taking to the air and flying straight at whatever it was. Winged forms like Dragonite were his favourites. He and the threat collided, hitting the ground with loud growls on both sides. Pinned to the ground was a Persian. "Wait. Lazarus, didn't that trainer say she was missing a Persian?" she remembered, the Persian nodding frantically in agreement.
Lazarus reluctantly let the Persian go, but he simply sat in the same spot he had been tackled, watching Luna with a distant and sad gaze. She looked back at him with a frown. Why was he staring at her like that? It was a bit creepy. Whoever she reminded him of, she wished she didn't. Finally, he spoke. Lazarus paused in surprise for a moment before translating, "He says he understands why you don't remember him, since he's changed even more than you have. He said that he ran away from the trainer we saw earlier to go find our house. He couldn't say goodbye last time, and felt guilty ever since. It's that Meowth, Luna! He didn't mean to leave us, he was caught by a trainer! After all this time, he still remembers, and he's come back for us!" he beamed excitedly.
It was Luna's turn to stare. Meowth. She had thought he was a friendly Pokémon almost like a human in his mind, but that view had turned sour when he left without warning. A rush of guilt swept over her. How could she have forgotten the way Pokémon could be like people? The way they could love people, remember them, remain loyal and return to them... "I... I thought you were just some dumb animal who couldn't understand loyalty or anything. Meo-Persian, I'm, I'm so sorry..." she rushed down to hug the Persian. His fur was soft under her fingers. She patted his head and he licked her fingers. Lazarus was still smiling, and walked to rest a hand on his human, whose view on Pokémon had just been completely changed.
He completely changed too. Luna felt the Dragonite's arm shrink and distort, his body changing in an instant until it was an Espeon that stood at her feet with a paw on her shoulder. This elegant form was not one he usually took, but to Luna it seemed right. Persian had fallen quiet. Luna found her attention taken off him for some reason and placed solely on her dæmon, who looked back at her with joyous purple eyes. She touched his fur, marveling at how fine and soft it was. There was an unspoken significance about this change in form. "I'm not going to see you change shape any more, am I?"
The response to Luna's question was a smile and a nod to confirm what she already knew was true. Lazarus' shift was Dragonite to Espeon was the last time she would feel a dæmon changing shape, the last time her own dæmon would be anything other than the form he took now. It felt like the end of an era to her. She was upset that he had settled. Despite her earlier views, however, there was something deeply right about it all. His being an Espeon felt natural and comfortable. It was a deep feeling of happiness and excitement at knowing life might just start making some real progress. Her childhood was leaving her.
Luna returned the Persian to his trainer, and after tearful goodbye they parted for one last time. At least there was closure this time. Returning to her parents, the two were surprised to find that her brother Aestus' dæmon had also settled, his dæmon as an Umbreon. This meant less attention for her, but at least her parents might tone it down and not be too embarrassing. To their horror, they decided to invite all the family over for dinner to celebrate the occasion. Just what Luna wanted. A whole host of aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins telling her how grown up she was and they remembered when she was only this high and did she know when she was a baby she would- no she did not want to know, thank you.
The day arrived. Younger cousins showed off that their dæmons could still change form, older ones treated her as more mature and equal with them, something she was happy about. Her aunts and uncles all talked about what their dæmons' forms meant, the source of most of their information being located primarily up their own backsides. At a point during this tiresome chatter, her grandfather, the slightly crazy one, grabbed her and her brother. He muttered something inaudible then laughed a noisy, wheezy laugh, to which the twins could only smile nervously. He then took two lockets out of his pocket, the description of which can be found in the 'Appearance' section of this profile. With little explanation other than he thought the lockets suited their dæmons and that they were really old, he handed them over. Luna has worn hers around her neck ever since.
Luna and her friend Iris grew more interested in Pokémon as their school lives drew on, Iris deciding she wanted to be a Pokémon breeder. As the end of her school life loomed nearer, Luna found herself stuck for ideas. There was no career that especially appealed to her. Some stuff sounded fun, but she imagined she would get bored easily and want to switch to a different job. Unable to find a job she wanted to do, she looked at university, and found more that interested her. After finishing school at eighteen, she took a gap year to try as many different things as possible. The only thing that really appealed to her was working with Pokémon. She considered applying to university to study biology or zoology or some other Pokémon-related subject, but thought she would prefer getting into the profession through a more hands-on route that allowed her to adapt her career to whatever suited her, and enabled her to specialise or change to taking on another job. GENERAL
Name: Lazarus
Gender: Male
Form: Espeon
Age Settled: 16
Views on Form: Luna sometimes wonders if Lazarus' form reflects him more than it does herself. Sure, sometimes she can see aspects of Espeon in herself, but it suits Lazarus with great precision. Even her name means 'moon', so it seems strange to her that her dæmon should be a Pokémon closely linked to the sun, especially since she is far more loud and immature than any Espeon. She has no problems with the form nonetheless, liking his grace, speed and sleek appearance. The soft velvety fur is great for cuddles, too. Sometimes she thinks a form that could fly would be better, but she does appreciate the fact that he is exactly the right size and softness for cuddling. Lazarus is very pleased with his settled form, and not just because of hugs. He feels it is a form with dignity with an elegant appearance that he values highly.
APPEARANCE
There isn't much which sets Lazarus apart from a regular Espeon. He is sleek and elegant, form flowing and graceful. Four slender legs end in small and dainty paws. His tail splits in two towards the end, gentle and fluid aside from the fork. He is slim and nimble, moving quickly with great agility. His legs are strong, too, helping him with his speed and enabling him to jump and climb great heights like a cat. His eyes are large like any Espeon's, a deep shade of purple. It his hard to tell where he is looking since his eyes are all purple with a white shine, his irises and pupils simply darker shades of purple, this making his usually serious expression seem all the more serious. He covered with fine fur slightly longer than a regular Espeon's, making it feel softer. Lazarus' lilac fur is one of the softest things Luna knows of. It's similar to a soft baby bunny. He feels that his softness is ridiculous, finding it undermines the image of power and grace he tries to make for himself. The red jewel on his forehead glitters and shines like a ruby as any Espeon's jewel does. Extending out from it left and right across his forehead are thin curling patterns of red, unlike a normal Espeon. This is the only real way to tell he is a dæmon rather than a true Espeon.
While he does not have the same psychic abilities as an Espeon, he can still predict the weather to some extent, since that is done using the way the wind moves through his ultra-fine fur rather than any special power. He is not as good at it as a true Espeon as his fur is a little longer and his senses don't have the unnatural sharpness of a true Psychic type, but he can still tell when the weather might change.
PERSONALITY
Lazarus is somewhat different to Luna in personality. He shares her sense of humour, but is less prone to mess around. He can get embarrassed when he or Luna act silly around people, and so is usually fairly sensible and may give her a few quiet words to make her stop what she is doing. This is largely ignored. He hates to spoil the fun, but knows where the limits are and sticks to them, concerned about going too far and just looking stupid or doing something wrong. This makes him not much of a rule-breaker, either.
He keeps calm and level-headed in any situations, helping to calm Luna down if needed. He is more calculating than she, patient and prone to taking time to take action due to thinking everything through very carefully beforehand. His patience gives him a long temper, and it takes an awful lot to make him angry. The prime example of when he loses his cool is when he knows he or Luna is doing something that might get them into trouble. In times like these, he will grow nervous and jumpy, worried that they will be caught at any moment. This is why he is so prone to leading people away from acting foolishly and attracting attention to themselves, as well as why he refuses to break the rules. Luna can sometimes persuade him, but usually with great reluctance on his part.
