GENERAL
Name: Aria Mayren De'Oliveira
Alias: May
Age: 17
Birthday: January 12th
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bisexual
Species: Human
Occupation: Trainer | Coordinator | Foreign Nobility
APPEARANCE
Aria would be considered different for more than just her skin and hair color. Silver-white curtains down to her waist with white eyebrows and eyelashes to accent her obvious albinism. Bright pink eyes are often hidden behind a pair of transition, black rimmed glasses. Thanks to her hereditary appearance, Aria doesn't have to do much to stand out. Even her clothes are considered normal in Kalos. Wearing a complex one-piece dress filled with frills and bows, she looks like the victorian age just came back and puked purple and white all over her. Amethyst earring hang from her lobes while four rings dazzle the higher rims. No rings cover her fingers but an emerald fang-shaped necklace does hang around her neck. That fang is part of the symbol for her house. For shoes she has a delicate pair of slip-ons that work more than enough for her 'amount of traveling'.
Now you would think the white hair and lack of bronze skin that would draw attention to her. Its not. Thanks to an accident back during her childhood, Aria has been confined to a wheelchair thanks to her spine having been paralyzed from the waist down. Normally she'd stand at a good five feet but seeing as how she has sat for the majority of her life, it safe to say that her 'normal' height would be from her head to the bottom of her chair. Her wheelchair, thanks to some wealthy family modifications; is capable of off road adventures. While it does have an electronic motor to power her around, Aria prefers to roll it herself or let Dokrand guide her. There are even straps installed in case Aria ever decides she needs to fly. But otherwise it looks like an expensive wheelchair. Still, the girl holds that unmistakable grace of someone born from the 'higher classes'.
PERSONALITY
Aria is an excitable, if not gullible; young lady. So very naive and innocent you would think her a five-year-old if she didn't look older than that. Like a curious child, Aria finds something exciting and intriguing in everything she sees whether they are animate or not. If she could run, she'd probably run into various situations no matter how dangerous they seem. There is just not such thing as fear for her. Its all playful laughter and teasing filled with giggles. Kind of like that bubbly air-head that would run into poles despite being warned about them beforehand.
Thankfully, the girl isn't that slow. In fact she's rather intelligent even if she always tends to act like some bumbling idiot. While she can be extremely bull-headed and childish, Aria is quite understanding of situations whether they be tactical or empathetic. She doesn't force others to go along with her whims... usually, and most times she enjoys a nice chat before dragging some poor soul into her messes. While she can be serious at times, those times are rarer than non-existent. 'Life is for living, not contemplating' as Aria always says. Another excuse for her to stick her head into the lion's den despite being advised against doing so. Aria's most noticeable weakness is her deathly fear of the dark.
HISTORY
Aria was born and raised among what Kalos would consider 'Nobility'. Both her parents from some sort of money: her father new, her mother old; and both hold the titles of 'Duke' and 'Duchess'. While her mother was known for her graceful coordination in other regions, her father was quite well known in Kalos to be a famous fashionista.
Aria was born in Snowbelle, the third of three and the only daughter. She was raised mostly by the maids her family hired and her eldest brother, who had stuck around due to a fascination with berries. Her mother was often abroad and her father practically lived at work, her second eldest brother followed in their mother's footsteps and left to become a champion. So it was rather odd that Aria didn't take after her eldest brother or the sweet and kind-hearted maids of their manor. If anything, the only time they could ever keep an eye on the rambunctious Aria was when they took her out to the only green-wood around Snowbelle. Aria loved that place more than the snow-fields of her home. Not too mention that place gave her more friends than she could count, the vast majority being the abandoned pokemon that thrived there. On the few occasions that her mother and brother would return from their travels, they would all go to that place to have a picnic with the wild pokemon of those parts.
Unfortunately, as fate would have it; Aria's adventurous nature had gotten out of hand by the time she was ten. Thinking herself 'all grown up' the girl made the idiotic mistake of trying to venture into the Frost Caverns in the middle of the night with no pokemon. Safe to say Dokrand, who was able to shift from a Milotic to a Ponyta to a Whimsicott; was not happy at all. But still he followed if only thanks to Aria's pushiness. Little did she know that her little 'exploration' would end in tragedy. Seeing as how many pokemon from the south-western wood liked her well enough, she had thought she'd have as much luck with the hardened wildlings of the Caverns. Nope. Barely half-way into its depths, the ten-year-old had found herself face-to-face with a very territorial Piloswine. He was not happy to see them.
With not so much as a question or even a hello, the ice pig had chased them through the good majority of the Caverns before trapping them. Whether it was unfortunate luck or lucky misfortune, the duo were only save by a sudden quake throughout the Caverns. Of course, when the ground shakes hard enough to scare a rampant shaggy pig off, something is going to drop. Thats where Aria found herself trapped under a pile of iced stones. Both in pain, Dokrand couldn't go find help so instead he tried to keep his soul-mate warm with his Ponyta form. It took them till dusk the next day to find her and it was one of the maids who had discovered her rather than the girl's brother.
Aria will never forget her eternal thanks to the Chansey daemon of her maid's that got her from under the rubble. Swiftly they had rushed her back to town and from there they went to Kalos' Lumiose City once the girl was healthy enough to travel that far. Why did they go to the big city? Simple, Aria couldn't move her legs. Even to this day she could remember her brother and the maids who cared for her since she was a babe never leave her side or even the city while she stayed there. Even her father had dropped his work to visit her for a whole two-weeks. Her mother and other brother had even come back from traveling on the latter half of that time. But even with all their prayers and hopes, Aria was doomed to never walk again. While she would live the girl had damaged her nerves beyond repair which would later confine her to a wheelchair for the rest of her life. But Aria wasn't sad. She did like her legs, don't get her wrong; but she still prized that experience no matter how horribly wrong it went.
After that event, her father had tried to get her into business management. After all, one didn't need legs to sign papers. But Aria wouldn't have any part of that. Far too boring. At fourteen, Dokrand had settled into his Milotic form during the duo's combined adventure of the Kanto region. She'd gone to visit her brother there. It wasn't a disappointment. That was probably the first time she ever got into battling and coordinating. Breeding was lost on her though. Still that's what inspired her to learn more about the world. At fifteen she visited her Mother in Hoenn, who taught her the ways of coordinating. It was really no surprise that her Daemon was a Kirlia with all their combined grace. Sixteen was spent back home to 'revise' and catch up on her eldest brother's poke`feed material (he'd become something of a gourmet). At seventeen, Aria left her family behind to start her own journey (but she's been watched closely by her father's 'friends').image (optional)dæmon's name in lowercase
GENERAL
Name: Dokrand
Alias: Doc, Nanny
Gender: Male
Form (if settled): Milotic
Age Settled: 14
Views on Form(s): Personally, Aria would have preferred the Ponyta form if only due to the heat but otherwise, she thinks it fits him rather nicely. Dokrand himself has absolutely no qualms with it, he likes to look down on people.
APPEARANCE
Dokrand resembles a normal Milotic through and through. Average height, average weight, same markings... He holds his form gracefully (like any good Milotic) and carries a privileged air. If anything were to be different about him, it would be a little gash on his first breathing hole. It looks more like a quarter note than a whole note.
PERSONALITY
While Dokrand holds the same amount of intelligence and social grace as Aria, he lacks her boisterous outbursts. In fact, he acts more like a nobleman than she. He's calm, observant, and more than willing to correct Aria in her ways. He has an unmistakable sense of responsibility, probably several times more heightened than the girl's own; and takes great pride in everything he does. A perfectionist really. Yet despite all his bickering and warnings, he still can't stop Aria from doing stupid things. He's always dragged into helping her, the poor serpent.
Like his soul-mate, Dokrand enjoys humor to its fullest; even if he never seems to laugh. He likes jokes, pranks, and a lot of teasing and can often be seen teasing his human when he's bored or happy or upset with her. Its hard to tell his mood thanks to his limited facial expressions. Towards others he acts as a sort of leader or just out-right indifferent if the 'others' annoy him. It doesn't take much to annoy him. Any type of rudeness irks him to the fullest levels but he can be patient. Most times. It takes a lot of patience to get through a day with Aria after all...
