EVOLUTION

I. LEVELLING UP When a Pokémon reaches the right level to evolve, they will evolve straight away unless they don't want to. Anything that needs special conditions to evolve upon levelling that can't be met on this site, such as Inkay, just need to meet the right level to evolve. II. ITEMS This works the same as in the games. Once the Pokémon has evolved, the item is useless. III. HAPPINESS Since we have no specific stat to measure happiness, Pokémon that normally evolve by happiness instead evolve with a Heart Scale. IV. LOCATION Pokémon that need to be in a specific location to evolve such as Magneton evolve with a Star Piece instead, as those locations are outside of Enera. V. TRADING Trading still works as it does in the game. NPCs at the trading centre will be willing to trade and trade back Pokémon to evolve them. VI. MOVES Once a Pokémon learns a move it needs to learn to evolve, it will evolve straight away if it wants to. There's no need to level it up before it evolves. VII. TIME Any Pokémon that evolves at a specific time or type of weather can be made to evolve when they reach the right conditions, the time or weather simply being written about. VIII. EEVEE Eevee evolves into Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon via a Water, Thunder and Fire stone respectively (as in the games). Eevee evolves into Umbreon using a Moon Stone, Espeon using a Sun Stone, Leafeon with a Leaf Stone, Glaceon with a Dawn Stone and Sylveon with a Shiny Stone. IX. TYROGUE As we have no stats, upon reaching level 20 a Tyrogue may choose to evolve into either Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan or Hitmontop. X. WURMPLE Wurmple evolves randomly into Silcoon or Cascoon in the games. In Enera a Wurmple chooses which to evolve into. XI. MANTYKE Mantyke evolves into Mantine when it levels up near a Remoraid. The Remoraid does not have to belong to the Mantyke's trainer. XII. NINCADA When a Nincada evolves into a Ninjask, the shed skin becomes a Shedinja which will be a wild Pokémon. They are normally easily persuaded to join the trainer anyway. XIII. SHELMET AND KARRABLAST It's hard to find someone with a specific Pokémon to trade, so Shelmet and Karrablast evolve after trading for any Pokémon. XIV. INKAY Inkay just evolves upon reaching level 30 with no other special requirements needed.

MOVES

I. EGG MOVES You cannot give a Pokémon an egg move yourself. Pokémon hatched by a breeder have a 50% chance of having an egg move, which will be randomised. Each Pokémon can only know one egg move and the only way for them to learn them is to be hatched with them. Wild Pokémon may occasionally know egg moves, but this is uncommon. Every starter will know one egg move of the trainer's choice. II. LIMITS There are no limits to the number of moves a Pokémon can know. However, with no badges, ribbons or medals, a trainer may only teach TM/HM moves with a base power of 50 or less to their Pokémon. Earning more badges/ribbons/medals permits TM/HMs with higher base powers to be used. One allows up to base power 60, two up to 70, three allows up to 75, four 80, five 85, six 90, seven 100 and eight permits a trainer to use any TM/HM on their Pokémon. III. POKÉMON WITH NO OFFENSIVE MOVES Some Pokémon, such as Hoppip or Magikarp, know no offensive moves at low levels. In these cases, to make the Pokémon useable, if the player wants they will be given an egg move or be allowed to learn their first offensive move early. IV. FORGETTING MOVES Move deleting services are available in most towns and cities in Enera. V. MOVE RELEARNER This applies to moves a Pokémon forgot as well as ones it may have missed out on, say by evolving before it would have learned a move or evolving into something which could have learned a move at a lower level but did not. These services are available in most towns and cities in Enera.

BREEDING POKÉMON

I. EGGS When two Pokémon breed, they will produce 2-6 eggs. The same Pokémon can only breed once every two months, so long as all of their eggs have hatched. II. HATCHING TIME Eggs take two weeks of in-game time to hatch, but eggs of Rare or Ultra Rare Pokémon take three weeks on in-game time. Eggs will not hatch when in storage, and do not take up a party slot. III. EGG MOVES Pokémon bred by a trainer or coordinator have a 50% chance of having a random egg move. Pokémon bred by a breeder have a greater chance depending on the skill of the breeder, and sometimes the egg move may not be random. IV. BREEDING TWO SHINIES Shininess is caused by a recessive gene. The chance of a Pokémon whose parents are both shiny is 25%. V. BREEDING A NORMAL POKÉMON AND A SHINY There is a 10% chance of hatching a shiny baby from one shiny and one normal parent.

TRAINING

I. BATTLING The most common way for Pokémon to level up is simply by battling other Pokémon, wild or trained. For more details see below. II. TRAINING CENTRE At the Training Centre in Starldon, Pokémon may be leveled up by freeform training or by battling NPCs or other characters. III. RARE CANDIES Level-boosting items still work here! IV. EVENTS Sometimes levels may be given out in events and giveaways.

LEVELING

I. OPPONENT TWO OR MORE LEVELS STRONGER If the opposing Pokémon is two or more levels higher than your own Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain three levels for a victory, two levels for a defeat. If the opponent is a trainer's Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain four levels for a victory, three for a defeat. II. OPPONENT ONE LEVEL HIGHER TO ONE LEVEL LOWER If the opposing Pokémon is one level higher, the same level or one level lower than your own Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain two levels for a victory and one for a defeat. If the opponent is also a trainer's Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain three levels for a victory and two for a defeat. III. OPPONENT TWO OR MORE LEVELS WEAKER If the opposing Pokémon is two levels lower than your own Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain one levels for a victory and none for a defeat. If the opponent is also a trainer's Pokémon, your Pokémon will gain two levels for a victory and one for a defeat. IV. EXP SHARE A Pokémon holding the item Exp Share will gain half the number of levels the first Pokémon sent out to fight in battle gains, rounded up. V. SWITCHING OUT A Pokémon will not gain any levels if it doesn't use do any fighting in a battle, so you can't send a Pokémon into fight and then quickly return it again. If two Pokémon are used to fight in the same battle, they will each split the levels earned equally, rounding up. Should one Pokémon faint and a second be sent out to carry on the fight, each will earn the normal amount of levels and they needn't be shared. VI. DOUBLE/TRIPLE BATTLES As many Pokémon may be sent out at a time as you want, but keep in mind people will think you're being unfair if you send out six Pokémon against one. In these cases, most commonly for double and triple battles, each Pokémon participating will share the levels gained equally after each opponent is defeated. This includes fainted Pokémon; the levels earned by the fainted Pokémon will be added to the levels earned by non-fainted Pokémon once an opponent is defeated, then divided up with the fainted Pokémon receiving less to make the numbers whole.

GENERAL BATTLING RULES

I. LENGTH Trainer battles tend to last longer than battles involving wild Pokémon. Battles in which Pokémon are more evenly matched last longer too, up to seven turns in some cases. Battles can be as long or short as you want, but keep in mind they won't realistically be too long or short. II. ONE-HIT KNOCK-OUTS OHKOs are reduced to being incredibly powerful attacks. They are more accurate than in the games, but still not very accurate. They will make the user feel tired. III. SPECIFIC ATTACKS SUCH AS FEINT As the other user can see what you've written and simply avoid using the move that would help an opponent, moves like Feint work regardless of what move the opponent uses, but are much less powerful unless the opponent does use the right move. IV. DODGING Your Pokémon isn't going to be unhittable no matter how fast they are. They have to be hit sometimes, else complaints start arising. True, faster Pokémon will dodge more often, but not all the time. Be realistic about how often your Pokémon gets hit. V. PP CANGERS PP doesn't exist in Enera. Instead, moves and abilities affecting PP change the ability of the opponent from using a certain move. For example, Spite would make the last move an opponent used disabled on random turns throughout the rest of the battle, the chance of the move being disabled increasing with the number of times Spite is used. Pressure means that occasionally one opponent's move will be disabled for a turn. PP changing moves count as status inflicters. VI. TURNS We operate a turn-based system, since that is easy to roleplay. Each turn, you may: Use two stat changers (eg Growl, Charm, Leer) Use one stat changer and one offensive move Use a stat changer and a status inflicter (eg Thunder Wave, Sing) Use one of any sort of move Do nothing (your Pokémon might be lazy, frozen, asleep, or disobedient) Flee. This counts as defeat for you and victory for the opponent.
